Worst morning ever. It was absolutely out of control. All 5 boys were home sick and everyone was in a panic because the doctor was coming. The workers were hurrying to make sure everything was clean and tidied, so I was watching the boys and trying to keep them all in one room. It was crazy! At one point, I had 4 of the boys sitting on my lap – 2 on each leg trying to sing popcorn popping on the apricot tree. One of the boys would drop a toy, but he wouldn’t get off my legs. He would try and bend over and grab the toy. Trying to hold him up and keep the other 3 on was a trick. All four of the boys are between the ages of 3 and 5.
When I hold one, the other three want me to hold them. If I play with one of them, the other three will try and get the toy. If I hold one hand, I have to let the other three hold an arm or a hand. I love them to death, but it sure was difficult – especially considering the fact that they are all very hyper, loud little boys! I had to break up a few fights and wrestling matches. One of the boys – R – thinks it’s funny to get in trouble. He is always the one running out of the room or going where he isn’t supposed to and LAUGHING SO HARD! I can’t help but laugh because he is so cute and hilarious.
There is a big toy cabinet with a bunch of shelves – he realized that he can dump out the entire shelf of little toys and it gets a rise out of everyone. The first two times, I was able to get the other kids to help me and we put everything back. Then, he would go back and do it again. After about the 5th time, I was starting to lose patience. I finally just stood in front of it – until one of the kids ran into the bathroom where they weren’t supposed to go. After trying to chase after him, I came back to the emptied shelf again. Then, the other boys noticed that he was getting attention, because I would try to distract him and calm him down. At that point, I had 3 little boys emptying different shelves, and I’m trying to keep V in the room, G away from the heater. I thought I was going to pull my hair out. I was sweating and exhausted and vowed that I would never have 5 boys! What a day.
Instead of the hospital, Kala and I went to the travel agency with Mario to get our tickets for the train to Buch and Brasov. We now have our train tickets and we have both hostels booked. I’m nervous to travel with just us girls, but I’m also excited. It should be an adventure. I just hope that everything goes as planned and we don’t have any crazy run in with the train or bus security people and get ripped off. We’ll just have to see!
