A day at the park...

We took the boys to the park in Tomesti. I know you’ve heard before about this so-called “park” which makes me sad to even call it such a place. It is in no way, shape or form somewhere for children to play, nonetheless it is outside and it gives them a chance to be out of the apartment for a bit. When we arrived at the park, Elizabeth and her kids were there (She is my roommate who works in a different apartment just down the street) and it was a bit crazy with 12 kids! It was a lot of fun running around with the kids, playing hide and go seek, skipping around and just letting them play and socialize with one another! I love seeing V at the park. I was able to just take his hand and walk around/try to run around with him and he gets so excited. Because the apartment is so small, we usually can’t do this. It was fun to see him so happy!
The psychologist had to come and take his picture (I think to update all of the kids files) and because we were so close to his face, he just sat there with his eyes closed or covering his eyes for a good 3-5 minutes and had no emotional expression whatsoever. They were trying everything. I grabbed a sweater, put it in his hands and then waved it back and forth and put it on my head. He looked up and started laughing and we finally got a picture. It made me feel good knowing that I know him and how to make him happy!
This week has gone by so quickly and now it is time for a weekend break again. I can definitely use the time!
