I started compiling my packing list. Bad news! There is no way I am going to fit everything on that 2 pager into my 50 lb. max one bag allowance. This could be interesting. But, on a good note...only 2 weeks and one day left until I hop aboard for the 15 hour plane ride! Here is a picture of the wonderful city of Iasi (pronounced "yawsh") where we will be staying and working. La revedere!
jess- I know you have been out of the country before but here are some things that I would make sure you have just in case.
ReplyDelete1. Tampons and lots of them. When you are in a foreign country your body freaks out a little so you could have your monthly more often, less often, not at all or no change. In Argentina they sold a pack of 5 tampons for 8 pesos. Thats just like 5 tampons for 8 dollars! And they had some crazy idea that if you used them you were sleeping around. Definitely strange looks when you are a missionary!
2. ZipLock baggies! I don't know how humid it is in Romania but it saved a lot of my stuff from mold having those babies. I kept extra money in them, my credit cards, pictures, etc.
