I used to think it was somewhat strange when unmarried people had their own blogs. I'm not sure why or when I came to this conclusion, but I have since changed my mind. Maybe I thought that unmarried people weren't exciting - I don't know. Probably some ridiculous non-conformist idea I had once. Infact, at one point, I actually set my own rules for blogging. I would never blog unless I met the following criteria:
1. I was married.
2. I had children.
3. I was out of the country.
Silly, I know. But here I stand, a blogger among the rest. However, I am pleased to tell you that I am technically not breaking the rules :) I will be leaving the country in less than a month for a new adventure, so I thought I'd start now as I begin the preparation for the exciting journey I will soon be starting!
I will be leaving in a few weeks for an internship in Romania. I will be working everyday in the orphanage as well as the hospital with children who have developmental disabilities. I decided to start a blog not only for my own personal documentation, but to share some of my experiences with my family and friends at home. So cheers to a new blog!
